Ermita de Santa Lucia

Ermita de Santa Lucia

Rebuilt in 1840 from a previous XIIIth century hermitage, the little Ermita of Saint Lucia has been a symbol of hope and belief in the future for hundreds of years. If your name is Lucia then you too will be honoured on her feast day of December 13th. She was revered as the Queen of Light and this ermita has stood out on its hill overlooking the Old Town of Jávea like a beacon of hope for generations.
